Quad Trencher
Quad trencher is another ride-on type of trencher with quad-track design, which offers greater traction and stability with added flotation in soft or sandy soils. It has a heavy-duty frame and provides great traction required for long installations of large-diameter pipes. It maintains constant four-point ground contact and provides full power to all four tracks while allowing for functioning of a traditional ground drive features such as axle oscillation, four-wheel steer and crab steering. The frame of the trencher is capable of tilting making vertical trenching on uneven surfaces easier. These trenchers also have high ground clearance (15-18 inches), enabling the machine to be more productive around bar ditches, creek beds and uneven terrain. A strong robust system holds the machine to provide great stability and traction with each track weighing approximately 1500 pounds, which provides lower center of gravity increasing the stability of the trencher.
